Citadao Feliz is a sports project for mentally and physically disabled people in Itaguaí. The project is led by Ivan, a 50-year volunteer who has been doing this selflessly for 30 years. He also runs a school for children with metal and physical disabilities. 45 children attend the school. He also takes the group to tournaments in Rio state.
The project gives the participants self-confidence, fun, and a social network. It takes place in a very poor neighborhood of greater Rio. During the trip to Rio, we visited the school and presented the sponsorship amount of 2,500 euros. Very special was that the other participants on the trip matched that amount to 6,500 euros. A very happy and emotional Ivan started the much-needed repairs that same week.
